1% for the Planet is an organisation that ensures businesses like ours contribute directly to environmental initiatives, helping protect our precious ecosystems, tackle climate change, and promote sustainability around the world. By supporting them, we’re doing our part to ensure a healthier planet for future generations.

But our charitable donations don’t stop with the environment—we also believe in supporting those most in need. Shelter is a charity that works tirelessly to combat homelessness and poor housing conditions. By donating to Shelter, we help provide vital resources, support, and advocacy for people struggling with housing insecurity, so they can find the safety and dignity they deserve.

Creating change through business process

Every year, the UK throws away around 9.5 million tonnes of food waste, reducing food waste is essential to combating climate change. While 70% of food waste comes from households, the hospitality and food service industry accounts for 12%. Yummies Office is dedicated to minimising food waste which is why we partner with ReFood, the UK’s leading provider of renewable energy from food waste, to transform waste into cleaner energy.

We further prioritise sustainability by carefully managing our supply chains. We order only what’s necessary, sourcing local and sustainable ingredients wherever possible. Our prime meat is Red Tractor-approved, fish is primarily line-caught from abundant UK species, and vegetables come from British greengrocers. Any minimal imports are Fairtrade certified, ensuring quality and taste while minimising emissions and excess food.

Last, but not least, all of our packaging is eco-friendly and biodegradable, with cutlery made from Vegware, a plant-based, compostable material. We continue to look for opportunities to continue our commitment reduce waste through food, packaging.
